Hema Bhatt is a current Town Meeting Member from Precinct 9 and candidate for re-election. She and her husband Prashant have been residents of Lexington for over 24 years. Hema was involved with volunteering in elementary, middle and high school and many other cultural and sports events in and around the town. She was also a member of the Lexington Comprehensive Plan Advisory committee. She is a member of the Design Advisory committee. She serves on the committee of a non-profit organization to help organize charity events. She believes in selfless action, work towards solving the problems and serving the community that has given us all so much. She is actively involved in professional organizations and helps to co-ordinate many seminars and sessions for professional development. She holds a degree in Civil Engineering and has good experience in both the private and public sector. Her personal perspective as a working parent and technical professional will greatly benefit the Town Government.
I like to serve this community with my time, expertise and good intentions. I care for our school system our commitment to sustainability, diversity, equity and inclusion. I care for our seniors and their well-being. I care of the character of our town, tree canopy, historic heritage and progressive ideas. I seek for your vote and continue the work for betterment of Lexington.
