Meet the candidates for Select Board, Jill Hai and Cindy Arens

Lexington’s five-member Select Board works collectively to set goals and create policy for the Town. The Select Board hires and supervises the Town Manager, who is responsible for executing those policies. The board is also the road commissioner and licensing authority. 

Select Board members are elected for three-year terms. Select Board member Jill Hai’s term is up (she’s the only one whose term that expires this year), and she is running for re-election. She has one challenger, Town Meeting member and chair of the Sustainable Lexington Committee, Cindy Arens. 

LexObserver sat down with each candidate to hear about their background, experience, and the issues that matter most to them and to all Lexington residents.
