The following incidents were selected from the Lexington Police Department log during the week leading up to March 23. The Lexington Observer does not independently verify this information.

Community Engagement

Tuesday, March 17 at 11 a.m., Lieutenant Dunbar attended the monthly Community Crisis Intervention Team meeting.

Saturday, March 21, at 12:30 p.m., Officer DeLuca visited Temple Emunah on Piper Rd. and reported all was in order.

Saturday, March 21 at 5:00 p.m., Sergeant Dell’Anno spoke with an individual who had recently delivered model toy cars to the Police Department. He was asking general questions about the police and items on display in the lobby.

Suspicious Activity

Tuesday, March 17 at 10: 55 a.m., a Captain Parker Arms resident reported an individual banging on her door and asking for help. Responding officers located the individual, who stated he was staying at a park-and-ride in an unknown location. An officer reported that he stated two unknown males beat him up, and his car was missing. The Lexington Fire Department arrived on scene for an evaluation, and the individual declined treatment and refused transport. He also declined to go to the police station to file a stolen vehicle report. An officer transported him to the rest stop. Later, a call came in regarding a vehicle blocking a driveway at Wachusett Dr. The vehicle, with a New Hampshire registration, was the missing vehicle. An attempt was made to contact the individual, and a message was left regarding the vehicle’s location.

Thursday, March 19 at 12:04 p.m., a Sherburne Rd. resident reported her neighbor consistently walked up and down the street late at night. There had been no threats, but she was concerned. Police made an in-house check of the address given, and it revealed an individual with health issues.

Friday, March 20 at 5:10 p.m., an April Lane resident reported two individuals came to his front door and stated they were there to paint his apartment. The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. that morning. The two men left in a black vehicle. An officer called and spoke with the maintenance supervisor, who informed the officer that a job was scheduled at the same time at a nearby apartment. The painters went to the wrong apartment. All were advised, and all was in order.

Noise Complaint

Tuesday, March 17 at 11:25 p.m., a Mountain Rd. resident reported loud music coming from her neighbor’s house. She stated that this was an ongoing issue. Responding officers located an individual sitting in her car playing loud music. She was advised of the complaint and agreed to turn down the music.

Larceny

Thursday, March 19 at 4:45 p.m., a Hathaway Rd. resident reported a pearl necklace and a gold wedding band had been stolen from his home. The value of the loss was approximately $2,350.

Breaking & Entering

Wednesday, March 18 at 8:50 a.m., an Ames Ave. resident reported her unlocked vehicle had been entered the night before. Responding officers confirmed the break and requested a detective to process the scene. The vehicle had been entered, and two wallets were taken, both of which had various cards and ID in them. 

Wednesday, March 18 at 9:50 a.m., while investigating a motor vehicle break-in on Ames, the responding officer was informed of a break-in next door. Three unlocked vehicles had been entered. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicles.

Wednesday, March 18 at 12:20 p.m., a motor vehicle break-in occurred nearby on Carville Ave. The vehicle had been entered sometime overnight, but nothing was stolen from the car. 

Thursday, March 19 at 8:35 a.m., a Tucker Ave. resident reported his unlocked motor vehicle was entered the night of 3/18, and nothing was stolen. The responding officer canvassed the area for video footage from nearby Carville Ave. The vehicles were not processed as they had been driven by the residents.

 Burglary

Friday, March 20 at 1:40 p.m., a Hanscom Air Force Base resident reported his vehicle had been broken into while parked at the Element Hotel or the Lahey Clinic in Burlington in February 2026. The items missing from the rental car were a Garmin Phoenix solar watch, Breach Pro air buds, and a child’s golf putter. He also reported this incident to the Burlington Police Department.

Saturday, March 21 at 8:25 p.m., Wayne Alarm alerted police to a breach into a Munroe Rd. residence. Upon arrival, officers observed forced entry at the back door. The alarm company showed original alarms coming from the family room and kitchen. Responding officers entered the residence and requested a Detective and K9 response. The homeowner advised dispatch that she and her family were out of state, and a Normandy Rd. resident could be at the residence to talk to officers. Boston Board secured the doors to the residence, and all units cleared.

Fraud  

Monday, March 16 at 4:05 p.m., an elderly male called 911. He stated he was at the Police Department to make a report, but he was actually at the fire department headquarters. An Uber driver had taken him there. A police officer was sent to assist him. The Waltham resident wanted to report he was a victim of an attempted scam by Author Book Club. He said he was moving to Brookhaven shortly, and he believed he should report this to Lexington. There is monetary loss at this time.

Saturday, March 21 at 9:10 a.m., a Bartlett Ave. resident reported he received a phone call in February from a person claiming to be Officer Catherine Warren of the Las Vegas Police Department. She stated that his virtual identity had been located during one of their investigations. The phone call was subsequently disconnected. A search of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department revealed the same phone number provided by this individual. However, Officer Warren’s name did not appear. This resident has had no monetary loss and was advised to monitor his accounts. He wanted this incident documented in case there were future fraudulent activities.
