It’s beginning to look a lot like… winter 2015. Massachusetts was hit with a major snow storm, the Patriots won the AFC Championship, and they’re heading to the Superbowl to play the Seattle Seahawks… oh how history repeats itself!
Middlesex County got about 17 inches of snow — plenty for sledding at Tower Park, building snowmen, and launching legendary snowball fights.
School is out. Lexington Public School students have a proper snow day (not a remote learning day) and houses throughout town have power.
Eversource, National Grid, and the state’s energy management agency show there are no reported power outages in Lexington.

Town offices are closed for today, however. That includes the community center, Cary Library, the public services building, and the visitors center.
There is a town-wide parking ban, which applies to all streets and public parking lots, until Tuesday at 8 p.m.
There is no curbside collection of trash, recycling, or compost today. Collection schedules will resume on Tuesday.
Tonight’s Select Board meeting will be fully remote.
And Lexpress will not run today.
But, Revival Cafe is open, according to an Instagram story posted by one of its owners. So if you’re looking to get outside for a bite to eat, stop by the cafe on Massachusetts Ave. in the center.
Stay warm, Lexington!
