Last Sunday, the Second Annual Bikeway Block Party saw hundreds of visitors at each of three parks along Lexington’s section of the Minuteman Bikeway. It was truly a feel-good event, with several opportunities for the community to come together and enjoy a wide range of live music, dance performance, art-making, exercise, sports, and more! All surrounded by the welcoming backdrop of the beautiful Minuteman Bikeway parks!

The producers of this year’s event, Friends of Lexington Bikeways & Munroe Center for the Arts, could not have made such a wonderful community festival a success without the support of Town of Lexington staff and many volunteers, local businesses, and community groups. We are very grateful for all the help and encouragement received from the following:

  • Bike Party Volunteers—any and all of those 75+ individuals who set-up tents, signage, greeted the community, staffed activities, and more!
  • Cathy Severance, Town Manager’s Office
  • Lexington Economic Development Office
  • Lexington Department of Public Works
  • Lexington Police Department
  • Glynn Hawley, Pan-Mass Challenge
  • Lexington History Museums
  • Laura Hopkins and the staff at Seasons Four
  • Bicycle Advisory Committees of Arlington, Bedford, and Lexington
  • New England Tour de Cure
  • Munroe Center for the Arts 2025 Summer Counselors in Training
  • Joe Kesselman, sound engineer
  • Lexington Retailers Association
  • Revolution Hall
  • Lauren Feeney and The Lexington Observer team

Thanks also to our sponsors whose financial support made this event possible:

  • Blossom Fund of the Trustees of the Public Trusts
  • The Community Endowment of Lexington
  • Massachusetts Cultural Council

And last, but not least, thank you to all the incredible performers who gave their time to be with us! This list can be found on our website: bikewayblockparty.org.
