The racial makeup of Lexington, MA has changed significantly over the last decade. According to Census Bureau Data, currently about 55% of Lexington residents are White, 30% are Asian, 3% are Hispanic or Latino, and 2% are Black or African American. 

From 2012 to 2022, Lexington’s Asian population grew by 70% to more than 10,000 residents. Among the AAPI community in Lexington, the Indian population has seen the greatest growth. During this time, the Hispanic population increased by about 60% and the Black or African American population nearly doubled. However, those groups remain relatively small.
