Lexington’s five-member Select Board works collectively to set goals and create policy for the Town. The Select Board hires and supervises the Town Manager, who is responsible for executing those policies. The Board is also the road commissioner and licensing authority.

Select Board members are elected for three-year terms. Board members Joe Pato and Suzanne Barry’s terms are up, but only Pato is running for re-election. He and three challengers — Vineeta Kumar, Patrick Mehr, and Dawn McKenna — are running for the two open seats.

LexObserver sat down with each candidate to hear about their background, experience, and the issues that matter most to them and to all Lexington residents.
