SUMMARY:Mindful Moments: A Walk in the Woods
DESCRIPTION:September 13\, 12:30 pm \nJoin Rev. Reebee Girash\, Pastor of Pilgrim Church\, for a slow and gentle\, contemplative forest encounter through the conservation land near Pilgrim Church.  This walk will last under an hour and will cover less than 1.5 miles.  We will pause multiple times for mindfulness practices.  Participants should be able to navigate paths with rocks and branches and be able to sit on the ground. Bring a small towel to sit on and bug spray.  Advance registration is required by emailing welcome@pilgrimcongregational.org.  When you register\, the meeting place will be shared with you.

SUMMARY:Lexington Living Landscapes' Open Garden Days
DESCRIPTION:More and more homeowners are embracing landscaping that emphasizes native plants and organic methods to create more wildlife- and people-friendly yards. Are you curious to see what other gardeners have done? Stop by any of multiple locations to see the many forms a pollinator garden can take\, or learn what alternatives to the traditional lawn fellow residents have tried. \nThe homeowners involved are generously opening their yards to visitors in the hopes that you’ll see something that will help or inspire you in your own landscaping\, and to learn from you as well. Four gardeners are participating on the 13th\, and an additional 11 on Saturday\, September 19. Each property will be open to visitors during a two- or three-hour window. Visit as many or as few as you wish. No ticket or pre-registration is needed. \nA detailed schedule and map of participating properties on each day is available at www.lexingtonlivinglandscapes.org.
