SUMMARY:Words of the Spirit: Making Connections
DESCRIPTION:Regie Gibson\, recently appointed by Governor Maura Healey to be the first Poet Laureate of Massachusetts\, will headline this event. He is well-known throughout the State and beyond for his spoken word and musical performances\, with subject matter ranging from Homer to the blues. He will appear with fellow poets Richard Cambridge\, recipient of the 2003 Cambridge Peace and Justice Award; Jennifer Clarvoe\, winner of the Rome Prize in Poetry\, with her new book\, Piano Piano; Sibani Sen with her new book\, The Longed For Longed For; and Cammy Thomas\, recipient of 2022 Poetry Honors from the Mass Book Awards for her book\, Tremors.  The event will be live at First Parish Church and streaming on the Church’s YouTube channel.
