SUMMARY:Community Prayer Service
DESCRIPTION:Community Prayer Service Presented by the \nLexington Knights of Columbus \n  \nYou are invited to join the Lexington Knights of Columbus for a special evening of prayer and reflection on Friday\, November 14 at 7:00 PM at Sacred Heart Parish. The event will feature a revered icon of the Sacred Heart of Jesus\, originally painted in 1767 by the Italian artist Pompeo Batoni and venerated in the Church of the Gesù in Rome. This reproduction\, blessed by Pope Francis\, is one of only 300 icons traveling around the world as part of the Knights of Columbus Pilgrim Icon Program. \nThe prayer service will include scripture readings\, reflections from Pope Francis\, and time for silent meditation before the blessed icon. Following the service\, all are invited to hospitality in the Parish Center\, where hot beverages and sweets will be served. \nFounded in 1882 to support working-class and immigrant Catholics\, the Knights of Columbus includes over two million members worldwide dedicated to living their faith through charitable works. Lexington Council 94\, active for more than 130 years\, continues this tradition by supporting individuals and families in need—distributing over $21\,000 to local charities in 2025. \nAll are welcome to attend this meaningful community prayer service and experience a devotion that symbolizes Jesus’s immense\, passionate\, and divine love for humanity.
