DESCRIPTION:Lexington Pops Chorus presents “Songs of Liberty: Echoes of 1775\,” celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the battles of Lexington and Concord. \nThis concert features:\n“Testament of Freedom” by Randall Thompson\n“An American Trilogy” arr. by Mark Hayes\n“Missa Brevis St.Joannis de Deo” by Joseph Haydn\n“Dear Theodosia” from Hamilton by Lin-Manuel Miranda\n“Sleep” by Eric Whitacre\n“Five Hebrew Love Songs” by Eric Whitacre\n“Les Miserables” arr. by Ed Lojeski\nAnd more! \nBecause of construction\, this concert will be held at a new location not far from Hancock Church. Join us Friday\, May 16\, 7:30 p.m. and Sunday\, May 18\, 3 p.m. at The Pilgrim Congregational Church\, 55 Coolidge Ave. in Lexington. Concert tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets may be purchased at the door or online at www.LexPops.org (online service charge applies). We welcome new singers at the beginning of each semester. Auditions are not required\, but singers must be able to read music.
