SUMMARY:Remembering the Revolution: Lex250 Memorial Community Stakeholder Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Lex250 Commission and the Town of Lexington are working with the Metropolitan Area Planning Council to commission a memorial to be unveiled as part of the 250th celebrations in 2025. The project is in the early stages of development\, and Lex250 needs to hear from you to inform the vision and values included in the call for artists and equitable ways to remember Lexington’s revolutionary history. \nAttend the virtual meeting on Tuesday\, August 29th\, 5:30PM – 7:00PM to learn more about the commissioning process for this memorial and share your reflections on how you’d like to honor this revolutionary history. All community members are invited to consider leadership roles in the project development and artist selection process to create an equitable memorial honoring Lexington’s many communities and histories.
